CAMPUS UPDATE MARCH/APRIL 2015 STUDENT HOUSING BUSINESS .COM 32 University of Florida LANDMARK AND AIG TO DEVELOP URBAN, MIXED-USE PROJECT Gainesville, Fla. — Landmark Properties and AIG Global Real Estate have acquired the land for their upcoming development, The Standard at Gainesville, a 1,200- bed mid-rise, mixed-use student housing development with ap- proximately 60,000 square feet of retail space and a 142-room select- service hotel. The project is set to commence construction during the spring of 2015 with delivery slated for fall 2017. The Standard at Gainesville will be adjacent to the University of Florida campus and steps from restaurants, shops and nightlife. The Standard will feature more than 20 unique foor plans, including studio, one-, two-, three-, four-, fve- and six-bedroom units. The community will offer on-site management, two rooftop pools, resident centers with 24-hour study lounges, a spa, game room, golf simulator, racquetball courts and a state-of-the-art ftness facil- ity. Parking will be available for purchase as part of the residential lease package and will be located within the community and acces- sible by skybridge. University of Montana FARRAN/LAMBROS TO DEVELOP STUDENT HOUSING PROJECT IN MONTANA Missoula, Mont. — Farran Realty Partners LLC and Lambros De- velopments LLP have begun the development of a student hous- ing project located in downtown Missoula. The property is located adjacent to the Clark Fork River and Kiwanis Park, and will be the frst fully amenitized, purpose- built student housing community designed for the 13,000 students at the University of Montana. The $30 million, 500-bed building will include study lounges, media room, ftness center with yoga stu- dio, outdoor saltwater pool, music practice rooms, ski and bike tuning room, extra storage, full-time on- site management, and street-front retail. The property will have a se- cured parking garage with visitor parking spaces. Farran will break ground in late summer 2015 and open the building in May of 2017. College of New Jersey PRC CAMPUS CENTERS TO EXPAND CAMPUS TOWN MIXED-USE STUDENT HOUSING Ewing, N.J. — PRC Campus Cen- ters LLC will soon expand Campus Town at The College of New Jersey, adding two residential buildings that will accommodate 166 ad- ditional students. All 446 current student beds were leased within three months. Phase II, scheduled to open in fall 2016, will add an ad- ditional 74,000 square feet of one-, two- and four- bedroom apartments to the existing 278,000 square feet of mixed-use space. The fully fur- nished student apartments offer every student a private bedroom, a private or semi-private bathroom, full kitchen, living room, laundry room and features secure access. Retail includes Panera Bread and Barnes and Noble anchoring the north and south ends. Other re- tailers include Piccolo Trattoria, Yummy Sushi, El Mexican Maria- chi, Redberry Yogurt and Spencer Savings Bank. The Standard at Gainesville will be adjacent to the University of Florida campus and steps from restaurants, shops and nightlife.
