NE WS IN BRIEF March/April 2018 StudentHousingBusiness.com 10 CAMPUS FIRST ACQUIRES 432-BED COMMUNITY LOCATED NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS Denton, Texas — Campus First Student Living has acquired Midtown at Denton, a 432-bed student housing community located near the Uni- versity of North Texas campus in Denton. The company is rebranding the property Midtown 905. The community offers two-, three- and four- bedroom units with bed-to-path parity. Shared amenities include a club- house, fitness center, study lounge, game room, swimming pool and tan- ning facilities. Renovations are planned for the property and will include the addition of state-of-the-art fitness equipment, private study areas, a dog park, car ports, an outdoor kitchen and music rooms. Upgrades will be completed on the leasing office and clubhouse, and the property will receive new exterior painting and landscaping improvements. TRIAD ARRANGES SALE OF 173-BED COMMUNITY NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE Milwaukee, Wis. — Triad Real Estate Partners has arranged the sale of The Park at 1824, a 173-bed student housing community located near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Eenhoorn acquired the property for $8.3 million from Milwaukee-based Wangard. The property offers two- and three-bedroom units. Shared amenities include a 24-hour fitness center; a community lounge with a flat screen television, pool table and foosball; and a courtyard. COASTAL RIDGE, H. KATZ CAPITAL ACQUIRE 1,115-BED COMMUNITY NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA Gainesville, Fla. — A joint venture between Coastal Ridge Real Estate and H. Katz Capital has acquired Campus Lodge, a 1,115-bed student hous- ing community located near the University of Florida campus in Gaines- ville. EdR sold the property for an undisclosed price. The property offers two-, three- and four-bedroom, fully furnished units with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities include a resort-style pool, fitness center, bas- ketball court, tanning, a car wash area, picnic areas with barbecues, a computer lab and study rooms. Campus Lodge near the University of Florida offers amenities including a resort-style pool and tanning. The property was recently acquired by a joint venture between Coastal Ridge Real Estate and H.
