The agreement will provide the capital and strategic part- nership needed for Student Quarters to scale its busi- ness over the next several years and permit the com- pany to compete for larger portfolio acquisitions. The partnership comes in the wake of Blue Sky closing a substantial joint venture with Goldman Sachs in 2016 to grow its Australian student accommodation plat- form. "Not only will Student Quarters benefit from Blue Sky's immedi- ate funding, there is also tremendous benefit to their strategic insights," says Andy Feinour, president and co-founder of Student Quarters. "Blue Sky was a first-mover in Australian student housing and is positioned to become a regional leader given the Goldman Sachs joint venture." ASSET CAMPUS AWARDED MANAGEMENT OF FIVE COMMUNITIES Houston, Texas — Houston-based Asset Campus Housing has been awarded management of five student housing communities in Texas, California and Nevada. New assignments include The Forum at Denton Station, a 1,044-bed community located near the University of North Texas in Denton; 34 Hundred, a 675-bed community located near The University of Texas-Tyler in Tyler; The Summit, a 709-bed commu- nity located near The University of Nevada – Reno in Nevada; Sterling Summit, a 709-bed community located near The University of Nevada – Reno; and The SLO, a 644-bed student housing community located near Cal Poly and Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California. Amenities at The Forum at Denton Station include a resort-style swimming pool with beach entry, lap pool, indoor basketball court, 24/7 fitness cen- ter and business center. Thirty-four Hundred in Tyler offers one- and two-bedroom units, with amenities including two swimming pools, a sand volleyball court and a top-of-the-line fitness center. The Summit in Reno offers two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom, fully furnished units. Community amenities include a two-story clubhouse, resort-style pool and tanning deck, outdoor barbecue area, hot tub and private study rooms. COLLIERS INTERNATIONAL SECURES $12 MILLION FINANCING FOR 276-BED COMMUNITY NEAR PENN STATE State College, Pa. — Colliers International has secured $12 million in financing for the acquisition and completion of Blue Course Commons, a 276-bed student housing community located near Pennsylvania State University in State College. The property is located adjacent to an 87-acre park less than one mile from campus. John Banas and Kris Wood of Colliers secured the three-year, fixed-rate loan on behalf of the undis- closed borrower. EW HOWELL CONSTRUCTION PROMOTES JACK HAGEN, DANIEL NAVARRO WITHIN EDUCATION DIVISION Plainview, N.Y. — EW Howell Construction Group has promoted Jack Hagen to vice president, and Daniel Navarro to project executive within the company's education division. Hagen and Navarro will both continue to work out of the company's Plainview office. "With Jack's immense experience in the education construction sector, he was the perfect fit to oversee all of EW Howell Construction Group's education projects as vice president of the division," says Howard Rowland, president of EW Howell. "Additionally, Dan's expertise in project management for edu- cation-sector projects has been a strength for EW Howell, and his ability to coordinate all of the moving parts is key to helping us deliver projects on-time and on-budget for our clients."
