The results show that 2015 was a year of action — perhaps a better way to say that would be a year of transactions — with frms growing their number of owned and managed beds, and some new players coming into the space in a signifcant way as well. All of this bodes well for 2016, which should be another strong and stable year for the sector and one we look forward to chronicling in the months ahead. Speaking of the months ahead, we are very excited to formally announce that the 8th annual InterFace Student Housing conference will take place April 13-15 at the Hilton Austin. Conference registration is now open and we look forward to again gathering 1,000+ industry leaders in Austin! (See ad on p. 65.) And the Student Housing Business Innovator Awards are also now in full swing with entries being accepted. The deadline to submit is February 15th, 2016. (See ad on p. 80.)
