NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2015 STUDENT HOUSING BUSINESS .COM 32 INTERFACE ON-CAMPUS HOUSING COVERAGE M More than 250 college and university housing and business offcers and student housing de- velopers and operators attended the 3rd An- nual InterFace On-Campus Housing confer- ence October 21-23 in Tempe, Arizona, near the campus of Arizona State University. The conference, sponsored by InterFace Con- ference Group and Student Housing Business, featured nearly a dozen panel sessions led by notable industry fgures discussing industry trends and issues, several networking opportu- nities including a poolside cocktail hour and a breakfast speed networking session, as well as a tour of four on-campus residence halls at Ari- zona State, sponsored by Hardison Downey. Several conference panel sessions focused on public-private partnerships (P3s) between pub- lic universities and private developers, and the impact they are having on the industry. Michael Wood, a youth expert with 747 Group, was the keynote speaker. Wood spoke of the incoming Generation Z, post-Millennials, who will soon be entering higher education and what they expect and prefer in lifestyle, and how that might transfer to student housing. An exhibit hall offered over 20 vendors the opportunity to make connections and discuss their services with fellow conference attendees. "InterFace On-Campus Housing was a tre- mendous success and provided college and uni- versity representatives the opportunity to hear from, and network with, each other, as well as interact with leading developers, operators and service providers," said Richard Kelley, Pub- lisher of Student Housing Business and Senior Vice President of InterFace Conference Group. "Our attendance was up considerably and we look forward to continuing to grow this event and provide a great outlet for education and networking for college and university housing, auxiliary and business offcers." For more information about the conference or to receive informa- tion about next year's event, contact Richard Kelley at (914) 468-0818 or rkelley@francemediainc.com. More than 60 On-Campus Housing conference attendees toured several residence halls on the Arizona State University campus. Hardison Downey sponsored the tour.
