Live-Learn Centers beat Cliff's Notes EdR Live-Learn centers are making an impact on student success. They contribute to higher GPAs and other key student success metrics. Three out of every four beds we've delivered since 2000 include on-campus living-learning communities and honors housing. These are carefully created environments designed in cooperation with residence-life and academic deans. They increase student success and achieve institutional objectives such as increased student enrollment and retention. Live-Learn centers combine offces, classrooms, active learning spaces, study rooms and informal breakout spaces. Live-Learn centers encourage students to interact in student life programming and to get out of their rooms and engage with others at the foor, building, neighborhood and city levels. The University of Kentucky is a prime example. EdR is replacing the majority of on-campus housing at UK, and Live-Learn is a key element. One early result is a 165% increase in on-campus living. Other results are an improvement in the quality of students applying to UK, increased student retention and student academic success. In 50 years we've moved to the head of the class providing environments that make students more successful. If you'd like to discuss housing that improves student success and other institutional objectives with a partner that is innovative, experienced and fnancially strong, call or e-mail Susan Jennings (901-259-2506 or SJennings@EdRtrust.com).
