CAMPUS UPDATE September/October 2018 22 Temple University CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY ON 528- BED COMMUNITY NEAR TEMPLE UNIVERSITY Philadelphia — Construction is underway on The Nest at 1324, a 528-bed community located near Temple University in Philadel- phia. Bock Development Group is developing the $75 million project, which totals 234,000 square feet. The property will offer studio, two- and three-bedroom, fully furnished units. Shared amenities will include 1,500 square feet of ground floor retail; a state-of-the- art fitness center; and television and game lounges with a double- sided fireplace and a terrace offer- ing panoramic views of the city. The property — designed by Cecil Baker + Partners — is set to open in June 2019. Florida State University BERKADIA SECURES $17.5 MILLION CONSTRUCTION LOAN FOR FSU COLLEGETOWN PROJECT IN TALLAHASSEE Tallahassee, Fla. — Berkadia has secured $17.5 million in construc- tion financing for a 143-key Hotel Indigo set to open as part of Urban Street Development's FSU College Town district near Florida State University in Tallahassee. The master-planned project is home to 982 beds of student housing, 60,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and two parking garages. Hotel Indigo is one of the final projects in the $125 million development's pipeline. The hotel will include a restaurant and lobby bar with an edgy, contemporary design created by design firm ai3. Brad Williamson and Kyle Ryan of Berkadia secured the financing on behalf of Alan Hooper and Tim Petrillo of Urban Street.
