The property will offer fully furnished two-story duplexes and three-story townhomes. Shared amenities will include five acres of natural green space, an indoor basketball court, resort-style pool and hot tub, 24-hour fitness center with a yoga and spin studio, private study lounges, a computer café and a private shuttles to campus. The commu- nity was designed by KJG Architecture Inc. and financed by Associated Bank, and is set to open in fall 2019. Warner University SPECTRA STUDENT LIVING, WARNER UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCE MULTI-PHASE RENOVATION AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN Lake Wales, Fla. — Spectra Student Living and Warner University have announced plans to renovate and develop housing on the university's campus in Lake Wales. Phase one will include the renovation of Spencer Hall, an 86-bed on-campus residence hall. The redevelopment will in- clude interior and exterior paint; the replacement of all windows; instal- lation of new electrical and plumbing; new bathrooms in all units; and landscaping upgrades, including a patio for residents. Renovations are scheduled for completion in August. Phase two of the plan will include the development of a new residence hall, which will be built on land Spectra Student Living recently acquired from the university. Construc- tion is set to begin in November, with completion scheduled for August 2019. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign GILBANE DEVELOPMENT BREAKS GROUND ON 538-BED COMMUNITY NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA-CHAMPAIGN Champaign, Ill. — Gilbane Development Company has broken ground on Octave, a 538-bed student housing community located two blocks from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus in Cham- paign. The property will offer fully furnished one-, two-, three- and four- bedroom units with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities will include a heated pool and hot tub; rooftop terrace; fitness center; business center; computer lab; clubhouse and lounge; a game room with pool tables; a grill and picnic area; individual and group study rooms; and a coffee bar. The development is set for completion in summer 2019. Norfolk State University NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR 740-BED RESIDENCE HALL Norfolk, Va. — Norfolk State University has announced plans for a 740- bed residence hall located on the university's campus in Norfolk, Virgin- ia. The four-story, 193,424-square-foot community will feature a North and South Hall with a central two-story amenity space. Shared ameni- ties will include offices, a conference room, resource production space, a fitness room, movement and yoga studio, a multipurpose room, group study space, a community kitchen, a theater, and an open gaming space. The property will also feature green spaces and extensive pedestrian walkways. S.B. Ballard Construction Company will be the design-build contractor for the project, and the design team will consist of Common- wealth Architects and Niles Bolton Associates. Construction is expected for completion in December 2019.
