CAPSTONE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS PROMOTES WALKER MAY AND WILLIAM DAVIS TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT Birmingham, Ala. — Birmingham- based Capstone Development Part- ners has promoted Walker May and William Davis to the position of executive vice president. In their new positions, Walker and William will continue in their roles of lead- ing and managing the development process and working directly with Capstone's college and university partners. Walker and William are also members of the company's Corporate Advisory Committee in which they, along with other senior staff, work closely with Principals Bruce McKee and Jeff Jones to provide counsel on all strategic business matters. THE VISTA STUDENT HOUSING DEVELOPMENT NEAR CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, STANISLAUS, RECEIVES LEED SILVER CERTIFICATION Turlock, Calif. — The Vista, a 660-bed student housing community devel- oped by AMCAL Equities, has received LEED Silver certification. The property is located near the California State University, Stanislaus cam- pus in Turlock. The property — which opened in summer 2017 — con- sists of four buildings, including a 6,460-square-foot clubhouse with vol- leyball and basketball courts and a resort-style swimming pool. "Green building helps achieve excellent performance in key areas of human and environmental health," says Percy Vaz, CEO of AMCAL Equities. "Each new LEED certification is one step closer to revolutionizing the environ- ment in which live, work, play and study. ASSET CAMPUS HOUSING AWARDED MANAGEMENT OF 218-BED COMMUNITY NEAR THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT ARLINGTON Arlington, Texas — Asset Campus Housing has been awarded manage- ment of Midtown Arlington, a 218-bed student housing community lo- cated near the University of Texas at Arlington. The property offers two-, three- and four-bedroom, fully furnished units. Shared amenities include a 24-hour fitness center; game room with a billiards table and shuffle- board; business center; clubhouse; picnic and grilling area; resort-style pool; and a television lounge. GRANDBRIDGE ARRANGES $35.8 MILLION REFINANCING FOR 1,067-BED PROPERTY NEAR TEMPLE UNIVERSITY Philadelphia — Grandbridge Real Estate Capital has arranged a $35.8 mil- lion refinancing for The Edge, a student housing community located near Temple University in Philadelphia. The 1,067-bed property recently un- derwent a $2.5 million renovation, and offers shared amenities includ- ing a two-story fitness center, study rooms, grill stations and laundry facilities. Gill Dolan and Blake Willeford of Grandbridge originated the transaction. The floating rate loan was arranged through Freddie Mac. The property is owned by Campus Living Villages. CHINA-BASED OC VENTURES ACQUIRES 640-BED COMMUNITY NEAR THE UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO Amherst, N.Y. — China-based real estate private equity fund OC Ventures has acquired Twenty 91 North, a 640-bed student housing community lo- cated near the University at Buffalo in Amherst. TSB Realty brokered the acquisition of the property from University Student Living and Harrison Street Real Estate. The community was built in 2016, and offers shared amenities including a resort-style pool; a game area with a pool table, ping-pong and shuffleboard; a study lounge; computer lab; fitness cen- ter; and private shuttle service.
